Terms & Conditions
By registering for or participating in any activity organized by the Latin America Workshop Tour (LAWT), including but not limited to workshops, auditions, masterclasses, intensive programs, coaching sessions, or other related educational activities, the participant or their legal guardian acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions.
- Health and Physical Condition
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically fit and medically able to participate in intensive physical activities such as dance training. Participation in LAWT programs requires physical exertion, and each participant assumes full responsibility for their health condition, including any pre existing injuries, illnesses, or medical limitations.
Participants are encouraged to consult a healthcare professional if they have any concerns regarding their ability to participate in the activities offered.
2. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
Participation in dance related activities involves inherent physical risks, including but not limited to falls, strains, sprains, fractures, or other injuries.
By participating in any LAWT activity, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with such activities and agree to release and hold harmless the Latin America Workshop Tour (LAWT), its directors, teachers, staff members, assistants, representatives, contractors, partner institutions, host schools, and venue providers from any liability for injuries, accidents, damages, losses, or medical expenses that may occur before, during, or after participation in the event.
3. Workshops and Auditions
The Latin America Workshop Tour (LAWT) offers both educational workshops and official auditions as part of its programming. Depending on the city and event format, workshops and auditions may be offered as separate activities or combined within the same program structure.
Participation in workshop activities does not automatically constitute a formal audition unless the participant is specifically registered for the audition component of the event.
Evaluations, recommendations, scholarships, invitations, or opportunities with partner schools or institutions represented by LAWT are granted exclusively based on the participant’s performance and artistic merit during the official audition process. Participation in any LAWT activity does not guarantee acceptance, placement, recommendations, scholarships, or opportunities with any institution.
4. Nature of the Audition
Participation in the audition constitutes an official evaluation conducted under the artistic direction of the Latin America Workshop Tour (LAWT) and its designated evaluator.
All decisions regarding evaluations, recommendations, scholarships, invitations, or opportunities are made solely at the artistic discretion of the evaluator and are final, not subject to appeal.
5. Conduct and Professional Behavior
All participants are expected to maintain respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior at all times.
All participants must comply with the rules, instructions, and guidelines established by LAWT, its teachers, staff, and host institutions.
Inappropriate behavior, harassment, unsafe conduct, or failure to follow instructions may result in immediate removal from the program without refund or compensation.
6. Right of Admission
LAWT reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any participant whose behavior is considered inappropriate, disruptive, unsafe, or incompatible with the professional environment expected during the event. Such decisions may be made at the discretion of the organization.
7. Host Institutions and Facilities
LAWT activities may take place in facilities provided by partner schools or host institutions. Participants must respect the rules, policies, and property of the host venue.
Any damage caused to facilities, equipment, or property by a participant may result in financial responsibility for repair or replacement.
8. Image Authorization
By participating in LAWT activities, participants authorize the Latin America Workshop Tour (LAWT) and its partners to photograph, film, and record images or videos during classes, workshops, auditions, and related activities.
These materials may be used for educational, institutional, promotional, and communication purposes, including websites, social media platforms, printed materials, and future promotional campaigns related to LAWT.
9. Accuracy of Registration Information
Participants are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during registration is accurate and truthful. Providing false or misleading information may result in cancellation of registration without refund.
10. Program Adjustments
LAWT reserves the right to modify schedules, faculty, class formats, locations, or program structure when necessary due to operational needs, logistical considerations, or unforeseen circumstances.
11. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated in specific programs or registration policies, registration fees are non refundable. Refunds will only be issued if an event is officially canceled by LAWT.
12. Personal Belongings
LAWT, its staff, partner institutions, host schools, and venues are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought to the event. Participants are responsible for keeping their personal items secure at all times.
13. Medical Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency during a LAWT activity, the participant or their legal guardian authorizes LAWT staff or representatives to seek appropriate medical assistance if necessary.
Any medical treatment, transportation, or related expenses remain the full responsibility of the participant or their legal guardian.
14. Force Majeure
LAWT shall not be held responsible for delays, modifications, or cancellations of activities resulting from circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, government restrictions, transportation disruptions, or other events considered force majeure.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the country where the specific LAWT event is held.
Any dispute, claim, or legal matter arising from participation in a LAWT activity shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the country where the event took place.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By completing registration and participating in any LAWT activity, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, Conditions, and Release of Liability.
For participants under 18, registration and acceptance of these terms must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
